Precious Children and Their Stories

Amelia Joy
Due 12-22-12
Born 10-30-12
32 weeks 4 days early

Baby Mia spent 34 days in NICU before being able to come home. After coming home, she had trouble adjusting to life outside of the NICU walls. She was still attached to wires and an apnea machine as well as having a home health nurse, and she couldn't sleep very well. Her momma requested a giraffe, which is a symbol of strength, in the form of a lovie, as well as booties and a hat or headband to keep her warm. Posted here are the photos of Baby Mia in the NICU, the set I made, and Baby Mia cuddling Gerri the Giraffe.

Lilly Bumpus
Born July 19, 2012
Born with Ewing's sarcoma

Lilly was born with Ewing's Sarcoma, a rare bone cancer. She spent the first eleven months of her life in the hospital receiving fourteen rounds of chemo therapy. Her family lost everything in the battle to save Baby Lilly's life, their home, belongings, everything. They've been living between the Ronald McDonald House and the LA Children's Hospital.

But Baby Lilly BEAT CANCER! She also beat a life-threatening blood disease immediately afterward. She is a very strong little girl and is honestly one of my heros. Unfortunately, the doctor's have noticed a suspicious lump right above where her original one was. They are fearing the worst. She's been cancer-free for almost a month. Please pray she gets to continue living cancer-free.

Her mommy requested a froggie set a few months ago
